to my tiny virtual island in the vast seas of the interwebs.
In a nutshell, I'm a food and animal-loving web nerd
and certified nutrition + lifestyle consultant.
Thanks for stopping by!
I acquired over ten years of web development experience within a variety of settings: start-ups, large private institutions, and digital media agencies.
During the first few years starting out as a Java developer, I collaborated with designers on a freelance basis and found myself moving towards more and more front-end development work. I eventually started a boutique design and development business with the talented Rebecca Pollock where we specialized in consulting, branding, and custom Wordpress theme development for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Past clients are based both domestically and internationally, and have established businesses in fine art, dance, fitness, and non-profit education.

I'm the founder of Savory Wellness and a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. There, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.
I work with those who are striving to better their mental and physical well-being through nutrition and cultivating a real life offline.
I'm from a large (and loud) Vietnamese family, and was born and raised in Alabama, which was both interesting and uninteresting.
I've been a cashier, bookseller, server, fine art photographer and printmaker, and wannabe Etsy store owner. None of them lasted, but they've all led me to here, which is exactly where I want to be.
Somewhere between all that, though, I graduated from Columbia University and a few years later from New York University, and then eventually moved to lovely Austin, TX, where the beer flows like wine. (Bonus points for you if you know where that comes from!)
Some tidbits about me:
I celebrate Halloween and the whole season of autumn like most people celebrate Christmas.
I discovered only just a few years ago that I'm a CCL (Crazy Cat Lady), and thanks to our new dog Sadie, recently upgraded myself to CAL (Crazy Animal Lady).
Action movies with as many explosions as possible are my therapy, as is getting my monthly Stitch Fix because I hate shopping but desperately need styling help.
I seriously love Ray Bradbury, crêmebrulée, and my mom's cooking.
